Bright flash in the sky
Jordan
I too saw a bright turquoise-esce light illuminate the entire sky while going from Merrillville, IN to Akron, IN on highway 30 eastbound. It was like lightning it was so bright, but only lasted a second maybe. I saw no source of the light. Stunned initially, I didn't think much of it until I saw another flash about a minute or two later. Perplexed, it was on my mind all night. It was about 3:00 A.M. and snowing like crazy. I don't recall the exact date, but it was sometime in early January. Another witness was present, and saw the same thing.
Ohio man reports bright flash of blue light
Observer
This is a copy of a report that I made in Nov. 2008:..."West Virginia, Bright Flash Date: November 21, 2008 Time: 3:30 - 3:45 p.m. Hello Brian, Just a note to tell you about last week. On Friday, 11-21-08 at 3:30-3:45pm eastern. My wife and I were sitting in the living room and saw a bright flash. It was as if someone in the room took a picture with a flash, except the light came through and around the closed blinds on the south, east, and north of the room. We looked at each other and confirmed we both saw it, we heard no sounds, and I saw nothing or anyone anywhere. Seems to coincide with some of the meteor reports you've had lately. But, being in West Virginia, we're quite a distance from those sightings. Hope all is well, take care. Thank you to the witness for their report. HBCC UFO Research

hey, I just wanted to say that I saw a strange object as well on Feb. 20, around 8:00 PM. It was a very bright light and was quite a distance away. At first I thought it was a star that may have exploded, maybe something like a nova but very far away. I came out a bit later and found that it was not only fading away but was moving west. I had thought that it may be a comet but there was, of course, no tail. I just wanted to post this and see if anyone else may have seen something. I'm in Paterson, NJ.

hi, at our place we are within one km of a power substation distrubution point, one time a car crashed into some powerlines or something similiar, effecting the substation and the sky lit up green and white, big flashes lighting up the sky. also strange grinding noises. the power dimmed and went out one of the times. sounds like what is happening, some sort of power disruption or overload problem causing it to flash up the sky. it has happened a few times.
