Bright red UFO hovers near Bay Bridge

Two brothers reported seeing a red glowing object hovering over the San Francisco Bay area on May 7, 2009, according to a statement they made to the UFO Examiner.

They were able to take more than two minutes of video of the object. The photography with this story is digital still photos taken from a television screen of the video. They also provided photoshoped images that depict what they saw.

The object was first spotted south of the eastern end of the Bay Bridge between San Francisco and Oakland.

The following is the unedited statement they made to the UFO Examiner. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. We encourage the reporting witnesses to file this case with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) at mufon.com.

On May 7, 2008 at approximately 10:00 p.m. my brother and I observed a red glowing object over the S.F. Bay. We were able to take 2 and 1/2 minutes of video of it.

The object was first located south of the eastern span of the Bay Bridge between S.F. and Oakland. The object remained in the same location for several minutes and didn't blink on and off or change its intensity at all. We were surprised by the object's bright red color and that the object didn't move at all.

We got binoculars out of our car and both of us watched the object for a little while but neither of us could see any other lights around the object which might indicate that it was a helicopter.

At that point My brother went into our building and returned with our video camera. The object began to move slowly in our direction from the north to the southeast. I began to video the object as it slowly flew overhead. The entire time the object did not change in intensity and made no sound whatsoever. I continued to video the object and was able to zoom in on it several times.

At one point I was able to get a shot of the object above the top of a tree that was next to where I was videotaping. I stopped videotaping to change my position because the object was moving to my right behind the building.

I ran over to where my van was parked and tried to videotape the object some more. Just before I began to get more video of it a plane came from the right near the object and the object blinked completely out. I was videotaping the area where the object was before it blinked out when the object blinked on again about half as bright as it was and then it blinked out again. It then blinked on again even less intense and then it blinked out and was not seen again.

The entire time the object appeared to us to be a bright red round luminous object which never changed its intensity, made no sound and remained the same size. However, in the video the object appears to be a bright white object with reddish light around the edges.

Also, in the video the object gets larger but that is only because I zoomed in and out on it several times.

I am sending you several photos of a few frames from the video as attachments. The photos were taken directly from a TV set as the video was being played on it. They are not directly from the video. The person who took the photos is a person who has a digital camera who did not see the object himself. The video is on VHS tape and if you would like to see it we can make arrangements to show it to you.
