
The UFO Traffic Report for Monday, October 12, 2009, includes 5 selected sightings over 5 states, according to witness statements filed in the past 72 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page. The following reports and their headlines are unedited and uninvestigated.
RI, October 10, 2009 - Yellowish-gold glowing orb over downtown Prividence. MUFON Case # 19906.
A Rhode Island witness working third shift noticed a slow moving light in the sky at 5 a.m. The witness could not make out a structure, but says it was just an "orb of light." Three photos were snapped from a cell phone.
PA, October 12, 2009 - disc shape bright orange low pitch whirring sound. MUFON Case # 19916.
A Pennsylvania witness and son heard a strange "whirring sound" and looked out a window to see a "bright orange colored disc shaped object, unlike any aircraft Ive ever seen, slowly making its way south I believe, midway above the tree lines, quite low." The sound faded as the object moved away and disappeared.
MI, October 7, 2009 - Pink, elongated barrel-shape ufo spotted above my home. MUFON Case # 19905.
A Michigan witness out walking at 3 p.m. noticed a pink object in the sky that was shaped like a barrel - "but stretched out." The object had green and red light on the bottom and a "metal/gray disc on top."
MA, October 11, 2009 - saw rectangle formation prompted by orbs in the sky. MUFON Case # 19891.
This Massachusettes witness saw four white orbs flying in a triangle formation at 300 or 400 feet. The objects made not noise and quickly passed out of sight.
FL, October 10, 2009 - dark grey wing shape moving silently no lights. MUFON Case # 19887.
A Florida witness saw "a dark grey boomerang wing shape moving totally silently no visible lights moving from north to south it was directly above my location visible for about a minute." The object was estimated to be between 100 and 200 feet long, although the witness could not estimate altitude.
