Sharon M. Biggs, 23-year educator, started in public relations and later pursued a career in education. Her career progression spans from teaching in New York City to her work in New Jersey public schools as: elementary teacher, basic skills instructor, middle school assistant principal, elementary principal and educational leader. Curriculum, professional development, instruction and formative assessment are noted strengths based on improving student achievement and teacher performance. Now the co-chair and president of Lifeline Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization founded by her family in August 2009, Sharon writes the LifelineExtensions blog, which is under the umbrella of the foundation.
