In a recent interview, Carrie Underwood admitted that she’d be spending this Halloween dressed up as Star Wars’ Princess Leia. Carrie Underwood’s hockey boyfriend Mike Fisher stated in another interview that while he wasn’t dressing up, he was planning on attending a Halloween party. It is assumed that girlfriend, Carrie Underwood, who was in town for the Halloween night hockey game, attended the party with Mike.
While a Princess Leia costume is probably one of the more popular costumes from the Star Wars trilogy, it seemed a little odd that Carrie would select that as her own costume choice. She has admitted to having a nerdy side, but also has stated that she prefers Star Trek over Star Wars. However, after some quick investigating (or more of a light bulb moment) we discovered the true meaning behind Carrie Underwood’s costume.
In the original Star Wars trilogy, the character Princess Leia was played by an actress, Carrie Fisher. If Carrie Underwood were to marry her serious boyfriend, Mike Fisher, her name would then become Carrie Fisher (even though she’d most likely keep Carrie Underwood, professionally). While this all could be completely coincidental, it seems as if the costume choice was a secret shout out to her boyfriend (or possibly something a bit more). Only time will tell. Let us know what you think about Carrie’s costume choice and if you think it has anything to do with her hockey boyfriend, Mike Fisher.
