Since the nation’s inception and through even today, each of us is on our own on various levels. This is most empowering, because there are simply some areas where the State cannot take your place. No matter what public servants propose, or even mandate, they cannot improve on Independence of them. They simply cannot. They hate it, but they can’t take your place on some things. Still, they try. This is Statism. In times of emergency, we’d best have food and water, not to mention other supplies, medicines, tools, energy, and plans. Generally, on the supposition of avoiding crisis, the State implements some programs we don’t want or need, such as the National ID Card against the interests of the nation. It may sound good to have a uniform Identification Card, but it’s not really necessary, and instead of hating government or being anti-government, we liberty purists simply doubt government, since so many of its programs are not even needed or wanted. Lose the trust of the American people, and the State then brings force to bear on the stiff-necked populace, and this is what we are seeing now. The brutality of the hatred against those who love independence from their servants and the force of the servants who fight for their own survival against the interests of the people force a disrespect for officials, and how they manage it makes people fear and distrust their servants more every day.
The new National ID Card is called the Pass ID. No matter how much makeup you put on the bastard, it’s still a pig of an idea.
Why?
Because we say so. It may never occur to statists and their shills, but we don’t have to explain anything to our public servants. All we really need do is distrust them and tell them we don’t want it. We don’t have to have a reason, or what do they teach in Leftist School? Whoever told the statists that the electorate has to have a reason for refusing all the state wants to ‘give’?
Security Document World, an online magazine of that industry, reports this morning the latest [Senate issues revision of Real ID]. Like the RFID Industry, another corner of electronic stalking, it tries to sell the idea and persuade Americans that it’s necessary, useful and harmless, but the perception that it goes against our better judgment persists as a survival instinct.
One of the reasons the pig has a new splash of lipstick is that the 2005 version was rejected by the People due to (in part) the suspicion of the thing as a backdoor National ID Card. Well, it’s time to put up the Pig with lipstick picture again, friends. America doesn’t want electronic stalking in the name of Security, we already have enough security when the state does as its told.
It doesn’t. And that’s key to how they get what they want.
Now dig this: The magazine goes on to say how the Pass ID Card features vetting immigration status, but in doing so, the Pass ID then becomes an outright admission that it is essential to Security. Making proof of citizenship a requirement proves that we were right all along, but also shows our fears have been well founded all along, too: the State takes our solution and utilizes it as a mandate for further dependency on them when it would have worked a whale of a lot better if officials had only done their job right to begin with. It now becomes clear why they did not. Crisis building.
Put another way, it is another clone of the Gun Control Formula: Identify a crisis, freeze the citizen out of the solution, and issue a mandate for all. The result is further dependency on the State. You’ll need the thing to fly, to visit buildings the people own, and to get certain jobs.
In the end, though, the State will not follow through, and it will have both open borders and electronic surveillance of citizens.
The armed citizen is our Original Homeland Security in being armed with knowledge and authority as much as our lethal force to fight crime. It’s an unbeatable combination in self-rule, and it is the thing to eliminate if you’re a statist.
This combination of lethal force, knowledge and authority negates the need for so many plans which just have to know who is who when they have already passed up several working safeguard we had. The people’s apprehension and distrust are more than enough. The State’s refusal to back down is absolute proof of what lies ahead.
In a fight for survival, in a fight for supremacy of the people and not over the people, the State is competing with the supreme authority of this nation. Yet another program which defies the will of the people does not bode well for this country, not at all.
