The Idea of state sovereignty invokes the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States to get out from under bigger government. It says: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The Constitution is filled with so many "nots" that it is clear that the Founders put more limits on a central government than that government would like. Too bad. It's what we're all fighting over right now.

I was first informed of this increasing freedom movement by news of Oklahoma State Senator Randy Brogdon who works for Oklahoma's state sovereignty, so I asked for an interview. You can hear that audio here. [May take time to load]

The entire purpose for state sovereignty as provided for by the founders was to be out from under and stay out from under centralized government with its attendant overreach. Centralized governments tend to take on a life of their own to compete with the citizen for authority and power. When governments win, their citizens lose. Under our system since the nation's inception, citizens are the supreme authority and we have all the power. We have the monopoly on all lethal force in this country, and we delegate some of it to government in order for our servants to do their jobs, from parking tickets to national defense. Those jobs and the lethal force can be recalled by the people. This is what is making officials resort to defamation and ridicule of the people they serve. We no longer trust them.

I could go on about the Declaration of Independence and how Just Powers language is conspicuous on how our government derives its powers from us only on our say so, but I'd rather put it this way: we grant powers and the force to back them; their powers are derived from the people, and in this, we never gave up any of our own authority or lethal force. Why should we after defeating that very thing at the nation's inception? We are the sovereign and we retain these. The quarrel is in the assumption of powers not granted to the centralized government, hence secession as the legal remedy. We leave. We leave destructive change behind for the safeguards of tradition. After all, it doesn't take courage to change America, it takes courage to keep it.

Today in 2009, exercise of rights (courage) is made out to be a crime for wanting freedom from our servants, independence from our servants. Their panic and brazen acting out actually betrays the very reason the founders put limits there. Government drones actually believe they're right, but right or not, they're wrong from the git-go because they are not the sovereign, they're servants of the sovereign. If that's not good enough, too bad.

It is not we who challenge their authority – even though we delegates some to them – it is they who challenge the entirety of ours from the right of redress of grievances to being armed, and everything in between.

Let me give you one example from the news on this topic. Some of the public servants claim that resistance to their abuses of powers and to their assumptions of powers we never gave them are irrational and extremist. But other public servants know very well that we do not hate government, we summon government to its duty as servant. This, they resent and irresponsibly act out their resentment by ridiculing and defaming the very people they are sworn to serve.

Recently, we saw a Lexicon issued by our servants describing what they think of us. The Lexicon says about alternative media, such as Blogging: ".... alternative media (U//FOUO). A term used to describe various information sources that provide a forum for interpretations of events and issues that differ radically from those presented in mass media and outlets."

A little critical analysis is in order. "... that differ radically from those presented in mass media and outlets." Presented in mass media gives away the position that their word is the last word, and that facts or accurate reporting are now extinct. It betrays the truth that officials believe the MSM is their own personal propaganda arm, and they resent it when we don't buy it, or worse, challenge it. Objecting to our suspicions as to what is presented indicates that they know it's hardly truth in reporting. The last time we looked, we had the right to a differing opinion. Or objection. Or redress of grievances. Or even to give officials instructions!

The Lexicon sent to law enforcement says further..."aboveground (U//FOUO) A term used to describe extremist groups or individuals who operate overtly and portray themselves as law-abiding." I have news for our servants: we are law-abiding, and it is becoming defamatory to the sovereign in this country that our servants should disparage those who spot their scam. Defamation, ridicule and punishment are weaponized, and fewer and fewer citizens are falling for this acting out.

The overall attempt is to ridicule Patriotism, as strict as patriotism must be for our survival. Where we summon and invoke government loyalty and oath of office, we are castigated as extreme. But are we extreme? News reports say that patriotic views are much more mainstream than officials would have you believe in their age-old tactic of marginalizing. Oklahoma sovereignty measure draws interest or State Sovereignty is a long-standing tradition and others [Internet Search Term State Sovereignty] disprove the statement from the servants that the assertion of rights is extremist.

Most of their whole Lexicon sent out to law enforcement is this way. According to news reports, some sent it back to where it came from.

Remember that the armed citizen plays such a role as a safeguard of our liberty that he/she is the target of ridicule and marginalization by some servants and their minions. But not all servants. Some know the importance of the armed citizen and how Freedom can protect itself.

Please monitor the armed citizen movement around America as more and more Americans become aware of how crime is used and abused as a device to create more imposing policies which only grow crime. Please monitor how the armed citizen makes more sense to your household than marginalizing you does.
