Reports out of Italy say that AC Milan is preparing a transfer offer for Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham in the range of 4.5 million pounds, ESPN.com reported on Tuesday.

"If Beckham comes to an agreement with Galaxy, we are ready to pay a figure. In the coming days we will meet his advisors," Galliani told Sky Sport 24.

Beckham scored his first goal for AC Milan this past weekend, and figures to be in action again tomorrow as the squad takes on Genoa.

Los Angeles Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena, however, has been outspoken in his desire to see Beckham return to the Galaxy. "I'll say what we've said all along: we have two players out on loan agreements. Those loans end March 8th. We've never stated anything otherwise, and I'm not sure if it's appropriate for club officials at the biggest clubs in the world to be making comments without having contact with us," he told ESPNSoccernet.

With Beckham at AC Milan and Galaxy forward Landon Donovan at Bayern Munich, the potential is there for Los Angeles to lose its top two players after a season that saw the team finish near the bottom of the table.
