Adam Lambert--isn't he dreamy?
While you were busy drowning your sorrows over Adam Lambert's American Idol loss, we were, well, doing the same. But in between sobs and sips of tequila, we were compiling this (holiday) weekend's best in entertainment news--just for you! Let's get this party started, shall we?!
Celebs had LOTS to say about the American Idol Finale
We're not gonna lie, we were more than a little destroyed when our personal favorite, Adam Lambert, didn't take home the Idol crown. Former TV star and erstwhile blogger, Roseanne Barr, wasn't too pleased either. In a blog missive fueled by the sting of Adam's loss, Roseanne wrote:
the u.s. elections! it's all for show and has no substance, offensive homophobic sexist and hateful. the closeted gay guy who goes to church won over the gay guy who is "out".
simon fuller never tells the truth, because the truth is that simon fuller hates originality and talent, and only likes what is common and hack. That is what american record buyers support--same sh*t different day... the white guy who sings with an emotional catch in his voice that little girls can have safe romantic sexual fantasies about.
Former Idol Clay Aiken also blogged about the finale-- we don't know what crack he's been smoking, but he is not an Adam Lambert fan. Earlier in the week, Clay wrote that he saw one performance of Adam's that made his "ears bleed." Adam Lambert fans (this fan included) didn't take too kindly to that dig, so Clay attempted to clear the air with another blog that really just dug the hole a lot deeper. He wrote:
I hope no one actually believed that blood truly poured forth from my ears when I heard him. I obviously meant it as a colorful statement to imply that I did not enjoy what I heard...God knows, I am SURE there are PLENTY of people who can't stand to hear me sing either...I do apologize to Adam for my colorful (and negative) choice of words. I hope he can forgive me. I imagine he doesn't give a damn! God knows he shouldn't.
Well that's a backhanded apology if we've ever heard one! We think Clay's just a little jealous that Adam's stolen his Idol shine.

Drake stokes the fire on rumors of a romance with Rihanna
Ohhhh, Drake. We love the guy. He's made a fairly seamless transition from acting as 'wheelchair Jimmy' on the kiddie soap opera Degrassi to hard core hip hop stardom. Rumors flew last week of a Drake/Rihanna hook-up, as the two were spotted all over New York City. Drake denied the romance by saying the singer was "just a friend," but at a recent concert in Toronto, the actor/rapper/singer said "shout out to Rihanna. I love you, baby." We are gonna call 'publicity stunt' on this one, but only because it hurts too much to think of our current celebrity crush kickin' it with another girl.
Linda Hogan lashes out at her daughter Brooke
Whoever said divorce brings out the worst in people knew what they were talking about! Earlier this week, soon-to-be divorced couple Hulk and Linda Hogan's daughter Brooke told Perez Hilton that she thought her mother (Linda) was doing drugs. Now, Linda has lashed out at the 21-year-old via her representative, Gary Smith, in an e-mail to Perez. In the wordy statement (which you can read in its entirety here), Linda says:
Brooke has always had a problem telling the truth. If it is her claim that her breasts are natural or she hasn't been banging the crap out of the pot head $tack for the last 3 years, then her comments of Charlie [ed: Linda's boyfriend] being a year and a half younger than her are again a complete fabrication (they are 4 months apart). She only judges Charlie because of his long hair and age, Linda doesn't judge... Linda will walk into any drug testing facility and take a random test and the truth will be she is clean. Put your money where your mouth is Brooke aka Hulk. Brooke "thinks" she's doing drugs is a hypocrisy when her father and $tack are rolling and Smoking joints together in Brooke's recording session, and Brooke knows it.
Yikes. Looks like Linda (or at least someone close to her) has a lot of hard feelings for Brooke. It's clear that Linda and Hulk's marriage is a lost cause, but we hope the mother and daughter are able to work this one out.
