The day after the attack by Muslim radical and alleged shooter Maj. Nidal Hasan left 13 soldiers and civilians dead at Fort Hood, TX, our current commander in chief warned Americans not to “jump to conclusions.”
President Obama did not issue a warning to those who practice radical Islam, nor did he attempt to harden the resolve of the American people in this ongoing fight with those who murder in the name of Allah. No…he instead, issued a warning to the American people to be more sensitive, and completely ignore the threat posed to all of us by radical Islam.
Obama’s promoters in the mainstream press even tried to explain away Hasan’s motivation behind the massacre as a symptom of post-traumatic stress syndrome, rather than his often expressed admiration of Muslim suicide bombers. They did this, even though Hasan had never served a day in either Afghanistan nor Iraq.
How fast do you think they would have pushed the notion of the ‘angry white male,’ had the shooter been a white, Christian officer?
Nearly 65 years ago, Adolf Hitler along with his Nazi thugs were soundly defeated, mainly because American and British resolve was unwavering. During World War II, all Americans (even the press and Hollywood) pulled together against a common enemy. The defiant attitude of the British people in the face of Nazi bombings is legendary. Unfortunately, both nations now seem to lack the will and certainly the leadership to defeat Islamic terrorism.
From his own special place in Hell, Hitler is no doubt cursing the timing of his own birth. Unlike the Islamo-Fascists, the Nazis were not aided by a subversive press, ACLU lawyers, nor by lily-livered politicians (with the exception of Neville Chamberlain). Unfortunately, both the United States and Great Britain have been infected and weakened by liberalism and the insidious virus known as political correctness.
In the wake of the 2005 London terrorist attacks, the BBC began refusing to refer to the murderers as 'terrorists.' They instead, chose to label them simply as "bombers," BBC officials cite their own guidelines which ban the "careless use of words which carry emotional or value judgments."
Incredibly, the BBC went on to explain the omission by saying: "The word 'terrorist' itself can be a barrier rather than an aid to understanding."
We in the U.S., of course, face the same liberal lunacy. The American news media often refers to terrorists as 'insurgents,' and goes out of their way to avoid speaking ill of radical Islamists.
Can anyone tell me why we are so concerned with the feelings of those who wish to kill us?
Can you imagine any segment of American or British society offering their "understanding" to the brutal Nazis? That sort of weakness would have ensured the destruction of the civilized world. If the Greatest Generation had been emasculated by the disease of political correctness, most of us would be either slaves or lampshades.
Of course, as already pointed-out, the blame for our current position in this war, cannot be solely placed upon the shoulders of the press. Our political leaders simply lack the fortitude to match the ruthless heart of our Islamic enemies.
In the days following the 9/11 attacks, it was sickening to see President Bush visit D.C area mosques in his stocking feet and proclaim Islam to be "a religion of peace." Shortly after London's subway attacks, Prime Minister Tony Blair dispatched British police to help protect Muslim communities, while describing Muslims as “peaceful and good.”
Where is the unwavering confidence of Franklin Roosevelt or the dogged determination of Winston Churchill? We are left with mere empty suits, who offer praise to our enemy. I am convinced that it will take a nuclear attack on a major Western city to raise our political leaders from their delusional slumber.
The people of both the U.S. and Great Britain must wrest our great nations away from the liberal apologists and bring true terror to the terrorists. Anything less that total war will spell the end of Western society.
