Revelers at last year's Ugly Sweater Party, hosted by Social Boston Sports at Bleacher Bar

Following last year’s breakout success, Social Boston Sports is once again showcasing its festive spirit by throwing an ugly sweater party at Bleacher Bar. Starting at 9:00 pm, Bleacher Bar will sparkle with revelers in their sassiest ugly holiday sweaters adorned with glitter, appliqué, snowmen, bells, and more.

In addition to breaking the ice over ugly sweaters, guests can rub elbows with the Boston Blazers and their dance team, who will add to the holiday-themed fun by giving away raffle prizes. Social Boston Sports will also award prizes to the male and female partygoers with the most, “terribly tacky sweaters” for outshining the competition.  Adding to the merriment, Wachusett Brewing Company will be onsite promoting their Green Monsta Ale, Winter Ale, and Blueberry. 

According to Justin Obey, co-founder of Social Boston Sports, “As the holiday season kicks into high gear, we’re thrilled to bring people together in the name of awesomely bad holiday sweaters. After last year’s event I was shocked, impressed, and slightly disturbed by the variety of ugly sweaters in existence and hope to see many more fine masterpieces again this year.”

Tickets to Social Boston Sports’ Ugly Sweater Party at Bleacher Bar are $10 dollars and can be purchased here. 

Social Boston Sports, the community of young professionals who live, work and play in the Boston area, was founded in early 2007 and currently boasts more than 5,000 members. The group describes themselves as being, "all about the fun," and hosts a mix of recreational sport leagues, social events, weekend adventure trips, and classes.

Located alongside Fenway Park, Bleacher Bar is the only bar along Lansdowne Street that literally has a window into the park.  Often jam-packed during games for its unique ground-level view from center field, visiting on non-game nights allows patrons an opportunity to hover in front of the window without any sass from die-hard baseball fans.  Like any serious sports bar, the interior boasts numerous flat screen TVs, baseball memorabilia, and comforting pub grub.
