Baltimore has a terrific full service caterer that just happens to be totally nut free.  The chef, Jonathan Soudry, created Rouge Fine Catering after 25 years as a chef and restaurant owner.  He is a native of France and has extensive French culinary training.

So why nut free?

Mr. Soudry lives a nut free life, and creates delicious nut free food, because one of his children has a severe nut allergy.  This challenging life experience of his has created a wonderful opportunity for those of us living with a nut allergic person.  Since my daughter has a nut allergy, I would never use a "regular" caterer - the risk of cross contamination and life-threatening reaction would be too great.  But with Rouge in town I can now throw a party, without tying myself to the kitchen, just like everyone else!

It isn't just the nut allergic who can benefit from Rouge.  Because Mr. Soudry and all of his staff thoroughly understand the ins and outs of keeping a food allergic person safe, he is able to provide allergen-free food for people with any food allergy or sensitivity.  Personal attention is Rouge's hallmark.  So even if food allergy is not on your radar, you will get your personal culinary needs met.

Just don't ask for almonds on your salad.

Be well,

Delia Chiaramonte, M.D.
