
Another day, another "The Beatles: Rock Band" update.
Wednesday, at Gamescon 2009, Harmonix CEO and co-founder Alex Rigopulos confirmed the release details for the first downloadable content (DLC) to be made available for the game.
Initally, "All You Need Is Love" will be available Sept. 9 for the game exclusively through Xbox LIVE for a limited time. Cost will be $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360). Apple Corps Ltd, MTV Games, Harmonix and Microsoft have designed the proceeds to benefit Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
"Abbey Road" will become available Oct. 20. Cost will be $16.98 or 1,360 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 for the full album or $1.99 or 160 Microsoft Points for each song. Purchasers of the full album will have the option to play the entire 16-minute side two medley, which includes includes “You Never Give Me Your Money,” “Sun King,” “Mean Mr. Mustard,” “Polythene Pam,” “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window,” “Golden Slumbers,” “Carry That Weight” and “The End," as a single continuous track.
"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" will be released in November, with "Rubber Soul" coming in December.
"The Beatles: Rock Band" downloadable content will be available for purchase on the Xbox®LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360, PlayStation®Network and via the in-game "The Beatles: Rock Band" Store for Wii™ using Wii points purchased through the Wii Shop Channel.
