AEG Live officially announced the Paul McCartney show Aug. 19 at Cowboys Stadium in a press release issued Wednesday.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. July 20 at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

A ticket presale for American Express card holders will take place from 10 a.m. July 13 through 10 p.m. July 19 through Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Preferred seating is available to Gold Card, Platinum Card and Centurion members.

The show will reportedly be McCartney's first show in Texas since 2005.

"The Cowboys Stadium show will feature classics from McCartney’s extensive catalog, including Beatles, Wings and solo career hits as well as selections from his most recent album 'Electric Arguments,' released under his alias The Fireman," the announcement states.

This is one of two shows, the other being Tulsa on Aug. 17, that we previously wrote about in reports here and here on July 1 and most recently here Tuesday.

The Tulsa show is also mentioned in a new update added Wednesday on Paul McCartney's official website, but no ticket sale or presale information had been announced as of Wednesday morning. A press conference is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at BOK Center. Several Tulsa area TV stations, including newson6.com and KTUL-TV.com are speculating the show (and possibly ticket sale information) will be announced then. (We'll post ticket information when it's released.)

Sources indicate the two shows will likely be the final two dates in a string of summer McCartney shows in the U.S.
