What we posted Friday:
A comment under our Lennon item suggested that Julian Lennon purchased it. Our sources say he didn't.
As we reported above, Paul has lengthened his tribute to Michael Jackson on his website. A rumored report on The Inquisitor claims Paul McCartney will be among those (including Diana Ross and Elizabeth Taylor) either performing or giving a tribute at Michael Jackson's funeral. We don't take much stock in rumors, but, given Paul's long tribute on the website, we're guessing the latter, if anything at all.
The "Paul Is Dead" hysteria was named the most famous worst celebrity death hoax of all time in a feature on Fox News.com. Other hoaxes named in the list of worsts include Jerry Mathers, Abe Vigoda, James Earl Jones, Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus and Oprah.
In this interview with the Baltimore Sun, Micky Dolenz talks about his live show, which includes a Beatles element in it.
Here's part two of a new video interview with thenewno2 on beatcrave.
If you're a fan of Paul Revere and the Raiders, whose popularity in the U.S. at one time was compared with the Beatles, you may have heard that original Raider Drake Levin is battling cancer. Alex Hart, the son of Raiders manager Roger Hart, is asking Raiders fans to email Levin with their best wishes. Send your thoughts to raiderdrakelevin@yahoo.com. You can see Hart's note on the Raiders Facebook page.
We have an interview with Mitch Axelrod, author of "Beatletoons" coming in the next few days. He'll be talking about the Beatles cartoons, of course. And a couple of other things are coming right behind that one. That's a great reason to subscribe if you don't already so you don't miss them.
Have a happy and safe Fourth of July. Drive carefully.
