What we posted Saturday:

About the Jackson ATV purchase, we highly recommend Brian Southall's "Northern Songs" for a real detailed look at this aspect of the Beatles' financial history. And about Michael Jackson, take note, that the new issue of Rolling Stone (Jonas Brothers cover) has a scarily timed article headlined "Michael Jackson's Troubled Comeback: The singer's upcoming 50 concerts will make him rich again -- if he holds up." You can read how the pieces for this week's events fell into place (or apart). Nice work on Fred Goodman's part.

That same new RS has a pic of Yoko Ono and the new Plastic Ono Band from her recent gig in London.

More news on the Yim Yames tribute to George Harrison we've written about here and here: ATO announced Saturday that you'll be able to download the entire EP at www.yimyames.com starting July 7 if you pre-order the CD or limited edition vinyl for delivery on the August 4th release date. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary (www.woodstockfas.org). Fans who order the limited edition vinyl also receive a t-shirt and brochure about  WFAS.

Paul McCartney concert tickets were the top draw on Ticket News weekly ticket survey for the week ending June 21.  The Jonas Brothers, Beyonce, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus were the next four rankings.

The author of the book "How the Beatles Destroyed Rock n Roll: An Alternative History of American Popular Music" told the Boston Herald the book isn't anti-Beatles. “I grant you ‘destroy’ is a provocative word," says author Elijah Wald. "The title is an attempt to make people pick up the book. But if Paul McCartney picked it up, I don’t think he’d disagree. He is truly conscious that the music he loved (as a kid) was gone by the late ’60s and the Beatles were largely responsible for that.”

This week's "Breakfast With the Beatles" with Chris Carter on Sirius 25/XM 59 includes "No Reply," George Harrison's "Wah Wah," "Old Brown Shoe," "Hey Bulldog" and George Harrison "Going Down To Golders Green" (from the Doris Troy sessions).

DC International Travel Examiner Alisa Krutovsky reports Yoko Ono, Cyndi Lauper, Rihanna, and Katy Perry are among the celebrities supporting Fashion Against Aids.
