Presale tickets for the Aug. 1 McCartney FedEx Field show went on sale Monday morning. We posted some stories of people who tried to get tickets here. The frustrations from Citi Field didn't seem to happen with FedEx Field. The surprisingly few stories we saw were all pretty successful. There certainly didn't seem to be the flurry of bad stories we had for New York.

More and more indications about the Boston shows. We hear people who are season ticket holders there say that they have been offered a sale of tickets on Wednesday for concerts on Aug. 5 and 6, but the artist couldn't be revealed pending the approval of the permit and the signing of contracts. Even more obvious is the fact that Jambase.com is already listing the Boston shows even though they haven't been officially announced. They're obviously practicing safe guessing.

The presales bring up what is certainly a bit of frustration for fans -- buying tickets for one show, perhaps far away, then finding out a concert's been scheduled closer to home. Given the costs of the shows, is it unfair to announce these shows one at time this way?

A couple of notes about things we posted: The contract post was updated with a slideshow with images of all eight pages of the contract.

And for those for whom the name might not be familiar, Emitt Rhodes developed a following in the '70s for his music that brought a lot of comparisons to a certain Mr. McCartney. Those songs included "Live" (with the Merry-Go-Round, before he went solo), "Fresh As a Daisy" and "Live Till You Die." The interview is posted on the Examiner site. He talks about those Beatle comparisons, how the Beatles affected him and his experience seeing the Beatles in concert. And we'll have another exclusive interview up soon.

Happy birthday to Stuart Sutcliffe, who would have turned 69 years old on June 23.

Julian Lennon posted on his MySpace blog that his mother Cynthia will be on BBC 1 at approx 8 a.m. Tuesday, followed by "This Morning" on ITV, with Phil & Fern, from 10.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m.

The White Feather Foundation, set up in conjunction with the Lennon family exhibit in Liverpool, has a website that will soon go live. You can sign up to be alerted when it does.

A dispute between Rita Wilson, wife of actor Tom Hanks, and another party over the purchase of a rare 1962 Beatles poster has been settled, reports Business Wire, and a lawsuit filed in connection with the sale has been withdrawn. The disagreement had to do with circumstances surrounding the sale.
