The mailman came by as usual today and dropped a couple of magazines off and left. We were thumbing through one of them when he drove back to the house and brought this almost four feet high blue bag. We knew what it was. We're glad we were home. God knows what the neighbors would have thought was in there had we not been home to get it right away.
It was, of course, the deluxe Fireman set. We didn't expect it so soon, since we'd had reports that New Yorkers had only got theirs a couple of days ago.
We opened it, being careful not to rip anything and examined the contents. The box was a little bent, but the CDs were all fine. Unlike some of the reports we'd had, our CDs hadn't dislodged in shipping.
We are literally listening to it as we write this and haven't had a chance to go through it all yet. We'll write more as we do.
Right now, we're listening to an instrumental version of "Sing the Changes." I think I love the song even more now.
