Ringo Starr will be a Hollywood star in 2010. Let's put it more directly: Ringo Starr will honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010.
The announcement was made this week by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The nominees were chosen and ratified at a meeting of the Walk of Fame Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce June 15.
Among other recording artists also getting a star in 2010: Randy Newman, Roy Orbison, Van Morrison, Bryan Adams, Chaka Khan and ZZ Top.

THE HOLLYWOOD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WALK OF FAME COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES NEW WALK OF FAME RECIPIENTS FOR 2010
HOLLYWOOD, CA.—A new group of entertainers in motion pictures, television, live theater, and recording have been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it was announced today by the Walk of Fame Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. These individuals were chosen from among hundreds of nominations to the committee at a meeting held June 15, and ratified by the Chamber's Board of Directors.

Back in April, we wrote that it was time for Ringo to get a Hollywood star. We started a petition that over 300 people signed. We're thrilled to finally see this happen.
