New York Times reporter Allan Kozinn gets an advance preview from Yoko Ono of the John Lennon Rock Hall Annex exhibit that opens next week in this interesting article from the New York Times. The exhibit will include Lennon's New York City t-shirt, lyric sheets and clothing, plus a piano and his posthumous Grammy Award for "Double Fantasy."

In Friday postings, we updated our lead item in our most recent Beatle news briefs on the newly revealed George Harrison poem with a more extensive and historically informative post that features a link to a podcast with Hunter Davies discussing it and a picture of the lyric sheet. We also wrote about a Liverpool cathedral planning to ring out "Imagine" from its bell tower and a look at the words most often used in Beatle songs.
Jude Southerland Kessler, author of "'Shoulda Been There," the first of a five-volume historical novel series on John Lennon's life, is using Twitter as she works on the second installment. The new book, called "Shivering Inside," will cover John Lennon's life from December 1961 to February 1964. It's due to hit the streets in October, 2010. "Shoulda Been There" covered John Lennon's life from 1940 to Dec. 1961. Kessler told us how she uses Twitter to keep people aware of her first book and "hopefully, interest people in 'Shivering' and excite them about the upcoming book." Playwright Tim Baker is researching "Yesterday," a play based on the night that the Beatles played the Assembly Hall on High Street, Mold, Flintshire in the UK on Jan. 24, 1963, reports the Evening Leader.
