This edition is a little later than usual because we were on the road last night to see Denny Laine in concert. We'll be writing about that later today.

Yoko Ono announced Friday on her blog on MySpace that "Don't Stop Me!," a four-song EP by Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band, will be released June 9. The track list: "The Sun Is Down! (Cornelius Mix)," "Ask the Elephant!, "Feel the Sand," "CALLING." She also announced that an album, "Between My Head and the Sky," will be released in September. The sessions were produced by Sean Lennon. Both titles will be released through the Chimera Music label.

We have a little more information on the Klaus Voormann release, "A Sideman's Journey." His wife, Christina, told Matt Hurwitz that the album will be released in Germany via Universal Germany on July 3, 2009 (the teaser video shows an incorrect date of July 9).  And Universal is currently in talks to release the disc in more countries, including the U.S. There will be a standard CD, a limited edition vinyl LP, and a deluxe box set containing additional tracks, a "making of" 17 min DVD film, hand-signed art prints by Voormann (who did the art for the entire project), and a 70-page hardcover book, containing photos, art, info about the sessions for the album.  The deluxe set is a limited edition of 10,000 worldwide and will sell for around $200.

The Financial Times looks ahead to Yoko Ono's Golden Lion lifetime artistic achievement award and her new exhibit in Austria. She says the award came as a complete surprise. “I was shocked because I felt that I was an outsider.”

A new film, "Let HIm Be," follows two undergraduate students who think they've found John Lennon alive and well in Canada. According to the film's website, the film uses some of Gerry Deiter's photos of John Lennon shot for LIFE magazine and we're a little surprised, because of that, it hasn't caught the attention of Yoko Ono.
