All the news fit to Beatle:

There's a lot of buzz going around about the Beatles Trivial Pursuit game. We have all the details for that and the new Beatles "Revolver" puzzle in this Wednesday post. Judging from the initial reaction we're getting through Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, these are gonna be huge, huge sellers this year.

Funny about all the wire stories coming out in the last two or three days about Bob Dylan's visit to Mendips, John Lennon's childhood home. We had this first on May 4, then followed it up with more details on May 5. Let's correct some of the errors in these new stories. About the reports that he wasn't recognized, a source at the National Trust told us that he wasn't initially recognized on the minibus, but when the tour got to Mendips someone did spot him. Also despite reports to the contrary, he didn't visit Forthlin Road, the early home of Paul McCartney.

Eric Cash's painting "The Introduction," which depicts the meeting of John Lennon and Paul McCartney on July 6, 1957, will hang on the wall of the church hall at St. Peter’s in Woolton village, Liverpool, where Lennon and McCartney first met at the annual Garden Fete.  Cash, who spent over a year working on the painting, received word from St. Peter's Verger Graham Paisley confirming the church's interest.  "Eric has captured the feeling of the moment, the spark of tension between John and Paul which was to prove the basis of their musical relationship for years to come. It was a great idea (for a painting)!," said Rod Davis of the Quarrymen in a statement.  “The Introduction” and Cash’s other Beatles paintings are available for viewing and sale on his web site.

Abbey Road on the River, featuring 67 bands and 25,000 fans from all across the globe, will be held in Louisville for its fifth consecutive year May 21 – 25 at the Belvedere Festival Park and Galt House Hotel & Suites. A highlight of the show will be an exhibit of rare photos of the Beatles taken by their former U.S. tour manager Bob Bonis.  (You can see some of them here and here.) Festival hours are Thursday: 4:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Friday through Sunday: Noon-12:00 a.m. and Monday: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. General admission (outdoor shows only) one-day tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at www.abbeyroadontheriver.com and locally at the Louisville Visitors Center or the Hyatt Regency.
