I LOVE L.A.: Backstage at the Grammys and talking to the press, Paul McCartney, who between himself and Ringo took home no Grammy Awards Sunday night despite three nominations, had no update on when the Beatles would come to iTunes, reports Variety.com. He was there to enjoy himself, though. "I really didn't come here to win. I came here to be in it. I was watching the Golden Globes and saw Mickey (Rourke) win, and there's Brad and the other actors in the audience. It's the Grammys. It's L.A. It's exciting," the paper quoted him.

MAYBE I'M AMAZED: "I think it's fine, just ... fine? "I'm kind of amazed we did it, because we were kids," Paul McCartney said of the Beatles' recorded output, reported Billboard. About the creation of  "Yesterday," which he said was his most successful song,  "I woke up one morning, and I had dreamed it. I don't know where it came from ... I believe in magic." He refused to given any hints on what he'll play at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in April, saying, "I'll play what seems right on the day. I never plan it."

WE'RE SO SORRY, MR. McCARTNEY: The Los Angeles Times reported that Coldplay apologized to McCartney, sitting in the front row. "I’d like to say first thank you and sorry to Sir Paul McCartney for blatantly recycling the Sgt. Pepper album," presumably for what they were wearing. The band was dressed in costumes resembing the Pepper outfits.
