The big news Thursday was the announcement of the new Sirius/XM satellite radio channel devoted to Paul McCartney and the Fireman starting Feb. 14. All Paul, all the time. You had a hunch after Howard Stern mentioned what he did that something was in the works. A couple of people inquired about times and repeats of segments. Sirius/XM didn't have any information to give us Thursday, but all we can say it it will be 24/7. We'll keep an ear out for further information The real attraction, though, is the phrase "musical surprises from Paul's vault" that was inserted in the press release.  And we know a few people who'll be catching up on their sleep between now and Valentine's Day because they'll be glued to the radio a lot from then on.

thenewno2, which features George Harrison's son Dhani, goes back out on the road beginning next week. Wednesday, they'll be at the Key Club in Los Angeles, then on Feb. 15, they'll be at New York's Union Hall, then Feb. 17 at the Mercury Lounge in New York.  On Feb. 16, they'll be appearing on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien." The Key Club show will be live online at Stickam beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. More information on their Facebook page. A new digital version of their album "You Are Here" will be out March 14 and a CD out March 31 on the band's Hot Records label, reports Anti-Music.

Mike Love of the Beach Boys has been added to the David Lynch Foundation benefit concert that Paul McCartney is headlining April 4 at Radio City Music Hall. Those who left their email at the Lynch website to get information about the show have been told advance sale of premium seats and premiere packages, which include pre- and post-concert festivities, will be offered before general admission seats.

The WannaBeatles celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' rooftop concert last Friday with a concert at 12 noon at Rippy's nightclub in Nashvile. Songs included "Let It Be", "Get Back", and "Two of Us". The concert included a "fake" arrest by "bobbies." A portion of the proceeds from donations and the sale of WannaBeatles merchandise benefited the MENC: National Association for Music Education. Temperatures were hovering just above freezing, but fans packed packed the venue's roof. The name of Barbara Bach, Ringo Starr's wife, is reportedly on a list of clients who invested money with disgraced financier Bernard Madoff, reports E! Online.

And to end on a sad note, Dewey Martin, drummer with the Buffalo Springfield, has died, reports Rolling Stone.
