  • In 1963, the single "Please Please Me"/"Ask Me Why" was issued in the UK. It was later performed on "The Ed Sullivan Show." (see clip).
  • On the same day, a blizzard and extremely cold temperatures keep the group from fulfilling an engagement at the Ritz Ballroom in King's Heath and the show is postponed.
  • In 1964, the Beatles Christmas Show closes at the Astoria Cinema in London.
