A costume used by Ringo Starr in the 1981 United Artists film "Caveman" will be auctioned in an upcoming entertainment memorabilia auction in Los Angeles by Bonhams & Butterfields on Dec. 20, the auction house told us Wednesday.
The costume, lot #2206, is described as "a fur tunic and cape with matching boots and faux bone accessories worn by the Beatle as he portrayed 'Atouk' in this film that co-starred the soon-to-be Mrs. Starr, Barbara Bach as well as Dennis Quaid and Shelley Long."
Also included is another fur ensemble -- a tunic and matching skirt -- possibly also worn by Starr or by one of his fellow actors.
The lot was consigned by David Foster, the movie's producer. Value is estimated at $1,000-1,500.
