Yoko Ono will commemorate John Lennon's birthday with a dual lighting of the Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland and in the virtual world. On her website, Yoko says there will be a special memorial concert in Iceland, too.
Eric Krasker sent us a note that his latest book, "Les Beatles : Enquête sur un Mythe 1960-1962" is now available in English as "The Beatles : Fact and Fiction 1960-1962." The book, which has been updated, contains 28 new documents, some of them published for the very first time. This new version has 440 pages. The price (excluding shipping) is 25 euros ($28). Richie Unterberger, author of "Unreleased Beatles: Music and Film," will discuss the book and play rare Beatles audio and films from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 14 at the San Francisco Library Park Branch of the San Francisco Public Library, 1833 Page St., San Francisco. Admission is free.
