The Traveling Wilburys book we previewed on Tuesday has now officially been announced on Genesis Publications' website.
The book, which can be viewed here, features unseen unseen photographs, Polaroids, drawings, log book entries and handwritten lyric sheets as "The Wilburys tell their tale in their own words, with the occasional help of drummer Jim Keltner and others."
The book is available in a Collector's Edition (£195.00, approximately $318 USD) and a Deluxe Edition (£375.00, approximately $611 USD). All copies are signed by Jeff Lynne and contain a fascimile of the lyrics for "Handle With Care" as handwritten by former Beatle George Harrison.
The first 350 numbers copies, the Deluxe Edition, are bound in "two faux leathers with an onlay on the front cover, hand-tooling and gilded page edging," according to a description on the website. They contain a photographic group portrait, published in a limited edition of 350 copies, taken by Alberto Tolot and embossed with the signatures of all five Wilburys that is suitable for framing. Deluxe copies are also housed in a hand-crafted travel case with a folding lid.
The Collector's Edition, copies #351-#3000, are bound in a "bespoke cloth reproduced from the jacket Nelson Wilbury (aka George Harrison) wore in the video for ‘Handle With Care’," according to the website. These copies are also housed in a slipcase covered in a brown and yellow tweed.
The Wilburys were Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and George Harrison.
