
Paul McCartney will be co-chairman and among a lengthy list of performers paying tribute to composer Frank Loesser at a special benefit show sponsored by the Actors' Fund on Oct. 26.
Besides McCartney, the show will feature Laura Benanti, John Bolton, Ashley Brown, Charles Busch, Liz Callaway, Ana Gasteyer, Debbie Gravitte, Hugh Jackman, Judy Kuhn, Liz Larson, Michele Lee, Emily Loesser, Jo Sullivan Loesser, Paul McCartney, Audra McDonald, John McMartin, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Julia Murney, Phyllis Newman, Steven Pasquale, Noah Racey, Chita Rivera, Christopher Sieber, John Stamos, Nia Vardalos and Patrick Wilson.
"I was very happy to be asked to attend this special evening. As a tribute to a man whose work I greatly admire, I will be singing one of his songs and I'm looking forward to it," Paul McCartney was quoted by Playbill.com.
Frank Loesser, who died in 1969, was an American songwriter whose works included the scores for "Guys And Dolls" and "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying." His honors include an Oscar, Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize for drama. McCartney's MPL Music Publishing Inc. controls the licensing for several of Loesser's songs.
