The cover of a 1964 album, "Off the Beatle Track," by George Martin
and his orchestra. The album featured instrumentals of Beatles songs.

Sir George Martin is back home after undergoing "routine surgery," reports the BBC.

"George Martin had routine surgery earlier this week. He spent one night in hospital and is now back at home," Adam Sharp announced.

There was no word on what kind of surgery the 83-year-old Martin had.

Martin produced the Beatles and shaped their sound.
