Here are the top 10 resolutions for the new year for the fisherman in you.
10. Buy a boat. It's time to experience getting stuck in the brush, running aground, and falling flat off! It's a must this next year.
9. Don't get fooled! I've seen it many times...the death defying fight with the log of a lifetime. This year learn a couple of new tricks to help tip you off as to the biological makeup of your catch.
8. Bring worms, they either catch fish or die trying! You can't go wrong there.
7. Stop knocking the competions' pole into the water. You know who you are...lol
6. Tie that rip in the net. Basketfish is not what it's cracked up to be.
5. Don't hand off the pole to your bestfriend, no matter how cool he is, when you are reeling in the big one. Bad idea.
4. Try to trip on something other than your reel. That keeps reel replacement to a minimum.
3. Your "biggest catch" for the day, shouldn't be your girlfriend hooked by the ear.
2. Fight the urge to "rip their faces off"! Davy's Locker is full of them, I'm guilty.
1. "Fish on!", the official warrior's cry here in Colorado. Get out there, smell the air and drop one in for yourself, you deserve it.
