"This is not just an American dream, but also an Irish dream, a European dream, an African dream ... an Israeli dream and a Palestinian dream," were the words utter by U2 lead singer, Bono, midway through their 1984 hit song "Pride (In the Name of Love)." The song, which focuses on the life and assassination of Martin Luther King was well suited to an event marking the election of an African-American man to our countries highest office.
