Ethan Russell, who photographed the cover of the Beatles' "Let It Be" album, will appear at a reception for the opening of an exhibit, "40: Celebrating the Music of 1969 - Featuring the Work of Ethan Russell," from 7-10 p.m. PST Nov. 7 at the San Francisco Art Exchange, 458 Geary St., San Francisco, CA.

Russell is the only photographer to have shot album covers for the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Who. He photographed the Rolling Stones' Rock n' Roll Circus and the Who's "Who's Next" album cover.  An essay he wrote and his photos of the Stones appear in the newly released 40th anniversary edition of "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! The Rolling Stones In Concert."
