Have a drink with friends: It's good for you

Yep, it's true. Drinking lightly or moderately can be good for you, if you are drinking with friends. Those people in this Japanese study who had good social support had less strokes and heart disease.

Of course, drinking heavily is bad for your health no matter how social you are. But men who drank lightly to moderately, who didn't have friends had more health risks and unhealthier lifestyle behaviors. They were also more likely to have high stress levels.

So go out drinking--moderately of course. And take your friends with you. While you're at it, make sure one of them is the designated driver.
