                       Shutting out the world

Today CNN reports on a "family in chaos."

The Bilsons are a family that has a child with autism. Their daughter, Marissa, was diagnosed very young, after her tantrums were totally out of control and seemed without a cause.

This family is chronicled on CNN's American Morning from 6-9 AM through February 4th, and it's probably one of the most realistic views you'll get of a family living with autism.

On their website, they have some questions and answers from the Director of the Seaver and New York Autism Center of Excellence. He notes that one of the most firmly established causes of autism is genetics. There are many questions and answers on the site that you may find interesting.

Any comments on the CNN article or the TV series?

Just take it one gigantic, earth-shattering crisis at a time.
