It’s often said that great food is comprised of many different notes that come together in a symphony of taste, similar to great music. Kitchen Window has created a series of events entitled Acoustic Fusion to explore that claim. These events will pair professional chefs with professional musicians to present an evening of food and melody. This first event features Grammy nominated artist Lisa Loeb and Kitchen Window’s Culinary Director, Chef Dan Darvill. Lisa Loeb’s appearance is courtesy of Chantal cookware.

The event will happen in two parts. The first is a free public event with a cooking demonstration of a three course meal, and an acoustical set from Loeb. The second is a private, more intimate event, where Darvill & Loeb will host a private interactive cooking event, where you can work and cook alongside them in the Kitchen Window Cooking School event space.

The menu for the public event:
·         Seared sea bass with Thai chili mayo and kaiware and spiced sticky nuts.
·         Arepas with sautéed red peppers, poblanos, fried sweet plantains and black beans and cheese.
·         Almond spice crusted chevre medallions with sweet tomato jam.

The menu for the private event:
·         Appetizers: fried quail egg with tomato pesto and sautéed cheese; cornmeal blini with cured salmon, crème fraiche and chives; caramelized onion tart with infused honey and thyme; and curried spinach and oyster mushroom bruschetti.
·         Shaved fennel salad with winter citrus, seared scallops with braised escarole, roasted shallots and sweet potato sauce
·         Chocolate layered crepe cake.

Guests of the private event will also receive a gift package featuring an 8” copper-infused fry pan (a $100 value) courtesy of Chantal Cookware.
