Besides being more nutritional than non-organic food, organic foods are simply more fresh and flavorful. So why is organic food so good for you? Organic food is comprised of meats, dairy, vegetables, and fruits that have been processed without any harsh chemicals, artificial flavorings, pesticides, or growth hormones. All of the original vitamins and nutrients are kept within the produce from the ground to your plate. Organic food is grown clean, eaten clean, and also keeps you lean!
By this token many people in West Hollywood have adapted to the organic style of eating to keep their fit and trim way of life. To cater to this population Hollywood has filled its streets and corners with several decadent organic food restaurants. My ultimate weakness is Joey's Cafe, which is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Weho, that serves up delectable lunch and breakfast items that are all prepared with fresh organics meats, fruits and vegetables. The Joey's omelet is my personal favorite, with broccoli, cheese, and turkey sausage. You can't go wrong with this dish, and its good for you too!!
Hugo's, also in Weho, is another excellent choice for the organic lovers! Like Joey's their ingredients are organic and the taste it out of this world. The chicken stir-fry is a must try when you visit this quaint spot hiding on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd.
There is even a protein smoothie store that I have gone crazy over!! It's called Body Factory, and from what they say, their protein smoothies are made solely from organic ingredients and contain less fat and calories than the average protein smoothie. This ever popular smoothie shop is home to many of the West Hollywood well-known residents. Halle Berry, Jennifer Garner, and Jake Gyllenhaal are just a few of the A-List Celeb's that have graced their presence at this delicious protein shake stop.
In addition to restaurants, West Hollywood is also home to one of many Whole Foods grocery stores. This grocery store carries an abundance of organic fruits, vegetables, nuts, meats and dairy products. So, if you live in West Hollywood and want to eat organic, but can't afford to eat out every night, go to Whole Foods and purchase some organic produce and spruce up Friday night dinners with a healthy fresh treat.
