Oh, the outrage!!  Barack Obama in fewer than two months has succeeded in generating such a hysterical response from the comic-book right, such a firestorm of grade-school insults, such a torrent of groundless, not-supported-by a-shred-of-evidence charges about anything you can imagine.  Goodness, you'd think he was Bill Clinton!

This week a "conservative" Examiner took the president to task for snubbing the Gridiron Club, snubbing the Marines and more.  Apparently appearing on a late night talk show is worthy of scolding comment.  How come there's never a special prosecutor around when you need one?  The "conservative" then lectured the president on (essentially) knowing his place.

One commenter to that post expressed that the future for the administration is "scary indeed".

Hey, "conservatives republicans", your insults are tiresome; your rhetoric is empty; your grasp of the facts doesn't exist; your credibility is beneath the scale; your hysteria is useless.

This president deserves a vigorous, vocal, presistent, insistent, reasoned and loyal opposition.  This president deserves a vigorous, vocal, presistent, insistent, reasoned and loyal opposition.  You could not do more for the country than to hold this man accountable.  After all, he is the president.  He won the election and occupies the White House.

In general terms gun rights advocates, libertarians, true conservatives (small government, balanced budget), environmentalists, social justice activists and others can formulate cogent, intelligent, fact-based arguments to advance their policy goals.  Would that "conservative republicans" could do the same.

This dynamic debate is needed for a healthy democracy.  Uncle Sam wants you!
