There’s a little something for everyone on this guide from Legoland events for the kiddies, to a chic black ties affair for us party goers or an activist ball for all the die hard Obama fans.

Legoland Inauguration Celebration
– From the creators who brought us Lego StarWars now comes this amazing display featuring President Obama with his family, and Vice–President Biden with his wife, along with a whole crowd of Lego people watching on. Keep your eyes open as there are rumors of celebrities dropping by for the big day. Opens on January 20th runs through Memorial Day.

– Having a President Obama Party at home? Looking for that special dish to bring with whole event together? Why not try this popular Filipino bread stuffed with spicy chicken? Local San Diego baker Wilma Ventura of “The Original Richard’s Bakery” has turned this popular dish into an Inauguration feast!

USCD Student Viewing Parties
– Go to UCSD? Wondering where to watch the Inauguration? Well thanks to The Loft on campus you can watch it the comfort of your campus home. Events start at 8AM lasting until 2PM.

Inaugural Ball: West Coast Style – Do you enjoy chic gatherings? As true fashionista knows Black—Tie events are a must attend! San Diego’s very own Inauguration Ball comes with all of the glamour of a Hollywood venue from a Red Carpet Runway, to live entertainment, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a complimentary cocktail, and video from the Inauguration. Attendees are welcome to bring canned goods for the San Diego Food Bank, cash donations are also welcomed. Tickets are $125 a person, it will be held at the Hilton San Diego Bay Front from 7PM to Midnight.

San Diego County Young Democrats Farewell to W at the W
– Are you a young democrat? Never attended one of their lively events? Well this is a perfect chance to mingle with your fellow young democrats. Taking place at the W Hotel in Downtown San Diego from 7:30PM till 1:30AM, there is no cover or event fee.

Activist San Diego's Inauguration Weekend People's Ball
– For all those activist out there here’s a Ball just for you! Come out and meet other progressively minded individuals for this once in a lifetime event.  Amazing music by local talent Agua Dulce is sure to make the evening interesting! Takes place in Balboa Park at the Balboa Park Club Ballroom, starts at 7:30PM lasting till 10:30PM on Saturday, January 24th.
