Find out more about Sam:

Sam has been a sports journalist off-and-on since 1991, while also juggling Silicon Valley, legal and higher education jobs. He taught English at San Jose State for five years and journalism at Foothill College for six years. When not helping his wife run her law firm in the East Bay, Sam is either at the A's game or doing research for another dissertation, this one on the intersection between morality and politics in modern organizational leadership. His most recent sportswriting efforts can be found at USCHO.com, for he wishes college hockey had a home in the Bay Area. Contact Sam.
