A story that began as a cold act of cruelty, turned out to warm our dog-loving hearts.
Pearl and Cupcake were abandoned in a Windsor, Colorado trash bin. Their instinctive cries for mama to come warm and feed them were thankfully heard, albeit barely, by another mama.
Answering the little dogs' plea for rescue, grandmother Annabel, her daughter Chery, and 5 year old Quinn magically reached into the garbage and pulled out a couple of sweet, still blind, brand new baby dogs. Both are little girls, but the breed has not been identified yet. They believe they might be chihuahua mixes.
Mountainwood Pet Hospital gave them goat milk and other liquids and warmed them with heating pads. The cuddly canines are doing well now in foster care. They are suckling their bottle and have been given a clean bill of health.
Read about it in the news:
Their care is being paid for through a fund called Stray Animals in Need of Treatment (SAINTS). To donate to the fund, call the animal hospital at 970-686-5725.
This is good news for these two dynamic little survivors! I hope they will find wonderful homes in a couple of months, when they are ready to be adopted.

What are "Dynamic Dogs?" It's a descriptive term I use for dogs with jobs, and dogs that get off the couch and out of the house to compete in games and work in the field. Here's a link to tell you more.
