Just in time for those post-holiday pictures, not to mention
Bald Eagle Appreciation Days (January 16 - 18). .jpg)
Unfortunately, this beautiful guy didn't make it. Startled by a truck while eating a juicy snake on a Florida roadside, this beautiful guy took off right into the grill of the vehicle. My son was there with his ever-handy camera. He captured some beautiful photographs before the terribly injured bird was taken to the animal rescue facility. A true shame, but maybe we can honor him by appreciating the beauty this photo captures. I know his mate misses him!
Another way we can appreciate all the pictures of this guy, or of just about anything else you have collected in a file folder somewhere, is with Office 2007's new "Insert Photo Album" feature in PowerPoint. Introducing photo albums in PowerPoint You can read about it on this link, or see a really great training video on the subject at http://www.brainstorminc.com/cbt/microsoft/help.php?file=ppt7.
Power Point Photo Albums are fun, easy, and a terrific way to share your holiday or other photos with friends, family, or whoever else needs to see your pics! There are some great photo album templates available in Themes, and of course, at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/results.aspx?qu=photo+album&av=TPL000. Check it out.
In PowerPoint 2007, instead of opening or creating a new presentation, simply open the application and navigate to the "Insert" ribbon. Right there, active and ready, in the "Illustrations" group, you'll find the "Photo Album" selection. With the More button, you can either create a new album, or edit an existing album.
Once you click on the Photo Album icon, you're ready to upload pictures, create text box captions, and more. Yes, you can add animations, and also Insert Actions that can add music, drama and highlights to your Photo Album. This is a Photo Album that anyone would be happy to receive and share! Get your kids involved too! It's a great way to introduce them to some great Power Point features that they'll be able to use for school projects. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/HA102825271033.aspx. When it comes time to share your albums, all the receiving folks need is a Viewer to be able to enjoy. You can also check out some very cool animation possibilities for creating photo or slide shows at Animoto! Check 'em out too, at www.animoto.com!
Have fun! I'd love to see some of your photos!
