The sixth annual RE Store Haute Trash Fashion Show takes place Friday, April 17 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the New York Fashion Academy in Ballard. The Haute Trash Fashion show, the brainchild of a group of progressive fashion designers, brings 25-years of experience to the annual Recycled Art and Fashion Show. In true eco-style fashion, the designs are made from a wide variety of unconventional materials that include construction fencing, food and packaging, inner tubes, chain mail made from soda pop tops and container lids. Since 2002, the Haute Trash group has put on over 100 shows throughout the Western United States. Check out the one-of-a-kind fashion show that will have you thinking twice about throwing away that used candy wrapper.
To purchase tickets ($10), visit www.re-store.org. All ages are welcome and there will be a no-host bar with beer and wine.
