The third runner up for 2008 gadget of the year is the Flip Mino series video cameras.
Design a high quality video camera, make it incredibly small and portable, then take out most of the features that a serious videographer would need, leaving behind the core features that most people actually use. Add software that makes it easy to edit and upload videos to Myspace, Facebook and Youtube, and make the whole package so easy to use that anyone can. You’ll end up with the Flip Mino series video cameras. They are either the most convenient or most annoying cameras you’ll ever see (depending on whether or not you like being captured on video everywhere you go), and easily qualify for this year’s top five.
