The car GPS takes the #3 spot on this year's
gadget of the year list
The second runner up for 2008 gadget of the year is the car GPS – any car GPS. Car GPS receivers aren’t new for 2008, nor are there any particular models or features to point out. This is, however, the year where GPS units became a commodity – breaking the $100 mark for the first time for low end units.
If you’ve ever driven for any length of time with a car GPS, you’ll never want to go back to driving without one, so on price drop alone, the car GPS gets the number 3 spot on this year’s list.
