Dave Camp of the ways and means committee released a letter yesterday from the JCT (Joint Committee on Taxation). The letter confirms what so many people have been concerned about with this health care legislation. According to the letter in this health care bill being voted on today you will be fined and or imprisoned if you do not maintain the acceptable amount of insurance mandated by the government.

That’s just great isn’t it? The price tag on the acceptable coverage is said to be about $15,000.
Many unemployed people right now are finding they don’t even qualify for any kind of assistance and they certainly will not qualify for free health insurance. Be careful what you ask the government for because you just may get it, just not the way you want it.

Criminal penalties include:
Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.
Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.

If you and your family cannot afford the price tag you will be a criminal.  Some would say that’s what happens when you let criminals make the laws.

Remember, the bill is being voted on tonight at 6 p.m. According to Sherrod Brown’s office he is all for it and has been for a long time. For the first time in history the United States government will force Americans to purchase a good/service under the threat of incarceration unless by some miracle Americans can stop it. Good luck America.
