Since an article written on father’s rights I have received numerous emails on the subject and the things I have heard are frightening. One in particular came from Samantha who’s husband pays $600.00 per month in child support for one child. His ex wife is remarried and owns her home. She has no mortgage or rent to pay yet she takes Dave to court every three years to raise the child support. Dave has two children at home with his new wife Samantha and their two children have always gone without because of the high child support. Dave has fought for years to see his child without any luck. Now Dave has been laid off from his job because of the economic crisis. The couple could barely afford to pay their mortgage let alone a $600.00 child support payment. This is where the ever growing bureaucracy called the child support enforcement agency comes in. Since being laid off, Dave had sent out hundreds of resumes and not one single interview. It wasn't Dave’s fault yet the child support bureau suspended his license and he was being hauled into court. Dave was now a criminal and said he would start robbing people to avoid going to jail. After that the child support bureaucracy started taking child support from Dave’s unemployment and he and his family lost their home. Two kids were now homeless for the sake of one. I wont tell you what Dave does now.

If this one story doesn’t scare you then not much will. How is it that in the United States of America a man can be forced into this kind of situation? Most fathers who owe child support are great dads who love their children. Most of them didn’t do anything wrong. The huge Government bureaucracy follows a set of rules laid out by your elected officials and as long as you don’t experience these sorts of things yourself you just don’t care. This man isn’t the one who should be held accountable. Our elected officials should be held accountable for creating the mess.

How is it that two children suffer while one has more than enough? Isn’t that backwards? I have talked to elected officials and it’s a subject none of them will touch. Tell me, if two children suffer for the sake of one, is that not something to be worried about? Is it more when a father of three is hauled off to jail for not being able to find a job in the middle of a depression created by the very same people who are extorting him? These are serious questions and we need serious answers from our elected officials. The thing that has always held this great nation together is the family. When that is gone we will have nothing left. Why are good men having everything taken from them? Why are these good men now becoming criminals?

Every citizen has a job to do and that is to keep Government from getting out of control. This man loves his children, you cannot put a price on that. Homeland Security is another big bureaucracy allowed by we the people making people who voted for third party candidates criminals, just read the MIAC report. The health care bill would force people to carry health insurance or become criminals. When is it going to stop? When are we the people going to stand up and demand them to stop the extortion? Bureaucracies cannot and do not work so why do the American people allow it? Will you be a criminal next?
