For your travels to the Walt Disney World Resort, it turns out there is another fantastic resort to stay at and save money as an Armed Forces member.

Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resort is a deluxe resort on located on the Walt Disney property.  There are two main areas, the Dolphin and the Swan.  They have a new Mandara Spa, 17 restaurants and lounges, five pools, a beach with sand, two health clubs, tennis, and golf courses nearby.  One of their restaurants is Todd English’s bluezoo.  It is a beautiful restaurant designed by Jeffrey Beers and features seafood and coastal cuisine that is top notch.  Another great restaurant is the award winning Kimonos.  They feature Japanese cuisine including delicious sushi.  Also in Japanese tradition, they feature nightly karaoke which is always fun either watching or taking part.

The benefits for Military are fabulous in that you can reserve rooms starting at $129, and additional rooms for only $99.  My favorite part of the discount is the restaurant discount; 50% off food and beverage (non-alcoholic) in the Swan and Dolphin’s world-class restaurants and lounges or 10% off food and beverage (non-alcoholic) in Todd English’s bluezoo, Shula’s Steak House or Il Mulino New York Trattoria.

Whether you choose to stay through-out your vacation, or stop in for an incredible dinner, Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin is conveniently located between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, both are within walking distance.  Also close by is the Disney’s Boardwalk resort, where they offer nightly entertainment on the waterfront boardwalk.
