The people have spoken and the decision has been made. MTV’s hottest MC in the game is Jay-Z.

This will of course rile up a few Hip-Hop fans that can spend hours debating about who they feel are the greatest. You all seen what happened when Vibe Magazine tried to step their foot in the greatest MC game. Not only did it start a beef between Joe Budden and Method Man, but it was also credited for Vibe’s tentative downfall.

The runner-ups were Kanye West at number 4, Drake at 3 and Lil Wayne at 2.

Listed as his career accomplishments that the round table panelists used to help make their decision was his sold out concert at Madison Square Garden last month, his long standing track record as an artist Hip-Hop, and the amount of ground he has covered not only as an artist but also as a business man.

The debates have already started with fans saying that the decision was not fair. Some believe that Eminem should have been on the list based off of his lyrical skills and his album. Others say that Jay-Z’s 11th studio album Blueprint 3 was over hyped.

At any rate, Jay-Z is one of the most influential Hip-Hop artists in the genre right now. Not every artist has conquered what he has or has experienced the type of success like Jay-Z.

Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce are like the Kings and Queens of music right now, because Beyonce has just been named Billboard's Woman of the Year.
