Here is something Kanye West can celebrate to help get his mind off of the VMA tirade the world won’t forget.
California’s Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has passed a law in honor of Kanye’s mother, Donda West. The law is titled The Donda West Law and what it will do is make health checks mandatory before a patient can undergo any form of plastic surgery in the state of California.
As we all know, California is home to the largest plastic surgery industry in the country, so a law passed in that state first is an impressive and amazing start.
Nearly 2 years ago, Kanye lost his mother after she passed away at the age of 58 following cosmetic surgery. Donda underwent plastic surgery without getting medical clearance for her preexisting coronary artery disease. The decision to bypass receiving medical clearance led to her inevitable demise.
Donda’s niece, Yolanda Anderson, has been adamant about getting The Donda West Law Assembly Bill 1116 passed. After the bill was vetoed by Arnold in February 2008 and then resubmitted on February 27, 2009, the bill officially became the Donda West Law on October 12, 2009.
